This helicopter when registered to the East German Nationale Volksarmee as NVA-529 (1) was SOC as PWFU. The General Major from the LSK, Mr. Baar? had a fable for former military aircraft in use by the Nationale Volksarmee and established a memorial at Bautzen where this helicopter had been placed as preserved with falls markings as (NVA-001) till about the end of 1990. Noted with the Luftwaffen Museum at Appen with its cockpit section only? during 1994. Transported for store inside Hangar as owned by the Luftwaffen Museum der Bundeswehr in Berlin Gatow since ?. Reported moved from there in 2006? Noted returned! This museum had a change of name to Militaer Historisches Museum (MHM) since the 1st of October 2011. A team from Flugplatz Museum Cottbus e.V. had a look at this Mi-1 in January 2014 in preparation to restore it again for their own public display area. They started to dismantle the aircraft on the 29th of January in order to transport it by road to Cottbus. This helicopter will be permanently on loan with the Flugplatz Museum Cottbus!
